Two more films have been added to the Golden Goblet Award competition since the 赌博app Jury Panel announced the first group of finalists on May 20.
They are The Stolen Years by Hong Kong director Chun-Chun Wong, and Legend No. 17, a documentary by Russian director Nikolay Lebedev.
There are now 14 finalists in the Golden Goblet Award.
The Stolen Years, the latest work by young female director Chun-Chun Wong, tells the story of a woman who, after losing her memory in a car accident, tries to retrace five years of her life and eventually comes to realize the true meaning of love. Starring popular female actress Baihe Bai, new talent Hsiao-chuan Chang, and Golden Horse winner Kwan-Ho Tse, the film blends suspense with moving sincerity.
Another competing film is Legend No. 17, a documentary by Russian director Nikolay Lebedev. It tracks the life of star Soviet Union ice hockey player Valeri Kharlamov, from teenage his years to the peak of his career when he died at the age of 33. Based on actual events, the film offers rare insight into Russia\'s "iron curtain" sporting regime at the time.
This year\'s Golden Goblet Award includes 14 nominee films from China, Germany, Canada, Greece, Russia, Turkey, Japan, South Korea and so on competing for the coveted 赌博app accolade.
The Golden Goblet Jury Panel, chaired by British director Tom Hooper, includes French film critic Michel Simon, German director and writer Chris Kraus, Iranian director Khosro Masumi, Czech director Jirí Menzel, Chinese director Hao Ning, and Chinese actress Nan Yu.
Winners will be announced during the closing ceremony on June 23.
